About KUDIMI Studios

KUDIMI is a small, independent children's studio in New Delhi, India. We make original sing-along songs, gentle animated stories and printed colouring books for children aged 2 to 8, with calm audio for the littlest ones to follow. Our tagline is "A World of Imagination", and that is the whole idea: a friendly place a child can step into, with the same three friends waiting every time.

Where the name comes from

Kudimi is the name of our mascot, an imagination sprite with a teal bean body, leaf ears and a curly swirl on top that ends in a yellow star. The swirl glows whenever someone has a new idea. Kudimi is an invented creature, not an animal from a book or a film, and that is on purpose. We wanted a face that belongs only to the children who watch, and to nobody else's catalogue.

The studio story

KUDIMI Studios was founded in 2026 by Sahil Tewari. The starting observation was simple. The most-watched children's videos in India are traditional rhymes in 3D, and the most trusted channels in the world are the ones that keep a small cast, a slow pace and a visible learning hook. Almost none of them are both Indian and original. We saw a gap for songs that count mangoes instead of apples, that say namaste as easily as hello, and that still work for a toddler in Manchester or Melbourne.

So we built a studio around three rules:

  1. Originals only. Our own characters, melodies and words. When we do sing a traditional rhyme, we say so on the video and in the book, and the arrangement, animation and characters are still ours.
  2. Top-channel quality or nothing. Every song, book and page passes a written quality bar before it leaves the building. If it does not pass, it does not ship. There is no "good enough for now".
  3. Global from day one. English and Hindi together, YouTube worldwide, books printed on demand near you through Amazon KDP and through Pothi in India.

How a KUDIMI song is made

Every song begins as a written brief we call a content pack. It names who the song is for, what it practises, which of our characters appear, and what a child does with their hands on every line. That brief is checked against our rules on safety, originality and honest learning claims before anybody writes a note of music.

Words. Lyrics are written for a three-year-old's mouth: short lines, one idea each, repetition with one small change per verse, and a chorus that arrives inside the first five seconds. Every song has a physical action for every verse and a call-and-response the child can shout back.

Music. The melody is composed fresh for each song, kept inside a range a small child can sing, and checked against a library of traditional tunes so that we never accidentally borrow one. The instruments are built in our own audio pipeline; no sample packs, no borrowed loops.

Pictures. Kudimi, Chiku and Tara are modelled and rigged in 3D in-house and animated in our own pipeline, with lip-sync, soft lighting and slow camera moves. Nothing flashes. Night scenes stay warm. The same village of colourful hillside houses appears in every song so children recognise where they are.

Books. The same story becomes a colouring storybook: bold, thick outlines for small hands, one picture per sheet, blank backs so markers do not bleed through, and a count-and-colour or draw-your-own page at the end.

Hindi. Hindi versions are rewritten, not translated, so the rhythm and the rhyme work in Hindi. Every Hindi draft is marked for review by a native speaker before it is released.

Indian roots, global audience

Our village has mango trees, diyas, rangoli and monsoon rain because that is the world around us. It also has a moon, a lake, a clock tower and a sheep, because childhood is shared. We write English titles and metadata for the world, and we treat India as home, not as a limit.

Honest about AI

We use AI tools as part of our workflow and we think parents should know exactly where. Our lyrics, story text and website copy are drafted with Claude, an AI writing assistant, then edited and approved by the team. Our singing voice is currently a synthetic voice (an openly licensed model with documented training data, never a clone of a real person), and every video that uses it says so in its description. Our character designs, animation and colouring art are not AI-generated; they come from our own 3D rigs and vector tools. Where a platform asks for an AI disclosure, such as Amazon KDP, we make it.

The team

We are KUDIMI Studios, a small team led by founder Sahil Tewari, working from New Delhi with collaborators wherever they live. We would rather release one song that passes than five that do not.
