Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers. Anything missing? Write to us.

Who is KUDIMI for?

Children aged roughly 2 to 8, with calm songs that also suit babies and toddlers when a caregiver sings along. Our first songs are written for ages 2 to 5. Each song and book page shows its age band. Older children (8 to 12) are on our roadmap with stories and puzzles, not songs.

What ages are the books for?

Colouring storybooks suit ages 3 to 6; action colouring books suit 2 to 5; letter-tracing books suit 3 to 5. The outlines are thick on purpose so small hands can stay inside the lines, and each picture sits on its own sheet with a blank back so markers do not bleed through.

What languages do you make?

English and Hindi, from day one. English songs carry English titles and descriptions worldwide. Hindi songs show Devanagari lyrics on screen with a simple Latin transliteration underneath, so families who are learning Hindi anywhere in the world can sing along.

Are the Hindi songs translations?

No. They are rewritten from scratch so the rhythm and rhyme work in Hindi. "Chiku Counts the Stars" and "Chiku Taare Ginta Hai" share the same characters, the same village and the same numbers one to five, but the words were written separately. Our Hindi drafts are reviewed by a native speaker before release.

Where can I watch?

On YouTube, on our channel (handle to be confirmed at launch; it will be linked from every page of this site once live). Every video is declared Made for Kids. We build to YouTube's quality principles for the YouTube Kids app, though inclusion in that app is YouTube's decision. On this website, song pages show lyrics, actions and a privacy-enhanced player once the video is released.

Are the videos out yet?

Our first song, "Chiku Counts the Stars", is in production. Each song page on this site shows a status: in production, planned, or out now. We do not release anything that has not passed our written quality bar, so we will not promise a date until the song has passed.

Where can I buy the books?

Printed on demand through Amazon KDP (United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan) and through Pothi for India, including Amazon.in. Links appear on each book page when a title goes live. Suggested prices: USD 9.99, GBP 7.99, EUR 9.99 and INR 299. We do not sell anything on this website.

Are there free printables?

Yes. Colouring pages from our first book, count-and-colour sheets, letter tracing (A to E), Hindi vowel tracing, a lyric sheet for each English song, a star chart, a maze and a dot-to-dot. All free for home and classroom use. See the printables page.

Is KUDIMI safe for my child?

We think so, and here is what that means in practice: no ads or buy prompts inside our videos, nothing frightening, no flashing lights (every light change takes at least half a second), calm pacing, characters who are kind to each other, and no stunts a child could copy. We collect no personal data from children anywhere. Our full promises are on the parents page.

Do you use AI?

Yes, and we want to be plain about where. Our lyrics, story text and the words on this website are drafted with Claude, an AI writing assistant, then edited and approved by our team. Our current singing voice is a synthetic voice from an openly licensed model with documented training data; it is not a copy of any real singer, and every video that uses it says so in its description. Our characters, animation and colouring art are not AI-generated; they come from our own 3D rigs and drawing tools. Where a platform asks for an AI disclosure (Amazon KDP does), we make it.

Why does the voice sound a little different from a human singer?

Because it is not one, yet. We looked for a singing voice we could use honestly: no cloning of real people, clear licence, documented training data. The voice we use meets those tests. If we move to human session singers in future, they will be paid under a written agreement and credited.

Are your songs original?

Yes. Our own characters, melodies and words. We also sing a small number of traditional nursery rhymes whose words and tunes are in the public domain everywhere we publish; on those, the arrangement, animation and characters are ours, and the video and book say: "Traditional rhyme (public domain). Arrangement, animation and characters are original KUDIMI works."

Who are Kudimi, Chiku and Tara?

Kudimi is the imagination sprite on our logo, Chiku is a red panda who loves to count, and Tara is a firefly whose small light never goes out. They appear together in every song. Meet them on the characters page.

Can my school or nursery use your songs and printables?

Yes. Playing our YouTube videos in class and printing our free printables for your pupils needs no permission. Teachers may photocopy printables for their own classes. If you want to put our characters on a school website, a fundraiser or anything sold, please ask first. Details on the licensing page.

Can I use your characters or music in my own video, app or product?

Not without permission. Our characters, music, lyrics and art are KUDIMI Studios originals. Email [email protected] and tell us what you have in mind. Press use of the brand kit with credit is welcome.

Does KUDIMI have an app, a game or a subscription?

No. YouTube for the songs, printed books, and free printables from this site. Nothing to install, nothing to subscribe to. If that ever changes, it will be announced to parents first and reviewed for children's privacy before launch.

Do you have a newsletter?

A monthly note for parents is planned: new songs, new printables and one short tip. It will ask for an adult's email address and nothing else, and you can leave with one click. It is not live yet.

How can I report a problem or a mistake?

Email [email protected] with the song or book title and, for a video, the time stamp. Corrections to our Hindi are especially welcome. Please do not include your child's name, photo or recording.

Where are you based?

New Delhi, India. We make songs for families everywhere.
