Privacy policy

Effective and last updated: 1 November 2026. Operated by KUDIMI Studios, New Delhi, India.

The short version

We make content for children, so we have designed everything we run so that we never need a child's data. This website has no accounts, no comments, no chat, no uploads and no checkout. The only thing you can give us is an adult's email address for a parent newsletter, and that is optional. We count page views without cookies. YouTube videos on this site use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed. If you email us, we get what you choose to send. To have anything we hold deleted, see our data deletion page.

Who we are and what this covers

KUDIMI Studios operates this website and the email address [email protected] for families, teachers, press and partners. This notice covers this website, the parent newsletter and correspondence to that address. It does not cover YouTube, Instagram, Amazon, Pothi or any other independently operated service you reach through a link; their own notices apply there.

What we process, and why

Website delivery. Our host, Vercel, processes technical request information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser type and request times in order to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and diagnose failures. A static website is not the same as a website that processes no data, so we say this plainly. We do not use this information to profile anyone.

We do not run any analytics or tracking scripts on this site. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs for security and uptime, which we do not use to profile anyone.

Parent newsletter (planned, adults only). When it launches, the sign-up asks for one thing: an adult's email address. We use it to send a monthly note about new songs, printables and one short tip. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes your address from the list. We will name the newsletter provider here before the form goes live. We never ask for, and do not want, your child's name, age, photo or anything else.

Email correspondence. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you include. We use it to reply and manage your request, and keep it only as long as needed for that and for any legal obligation. Please do not send children's names, photographs, recordings, addresses or other identifying details.

YouTube embeds. Song pages embed videos through youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. In this mode YouTube does not store information to personalise your viewing unless you click play, and the embed is served from a separate domain. Once you press play, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to what happens inside the player. Where a video is not yet released we show a still image and no player at all.

Legal bases. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering adult enquiries, on your consent for the newsletter (which you can withdraw at any time), and on legal obligations where they apply.

Children

Our characters and media are made for children, but this website never asks a child for anything. There are no accounts, forms addressed to children, comments, chats, contests or uploads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (United States, COPPA), under 18 (India, Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and Rules 2025) or from children as defined by the UK Age Appropriate Design Code. If we learn a child has sent us identifying information, we delete it unless the law requires us to keep it. A parent or guardian can ask what we hold, ask us to delete it, and ask us to stop using it; see the children's privacy page.

We also hold ourselves to this standard off the website: every video we upload to YouTube is declared Made for Kids, which turns off personalised advertising and comments on that video. Our Instagram account, when it launches, is for parents and caregivers; Instagram requires users to be 13 or older.

India's DPDP Rules, which take full effect on 14 May 2027, prohibit tracking, behavioural monitoring and targeted advertising to children even with parental consent. We already do none of those things and we do not intend to start.

What we never do

Service providers and international transfers

Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics) and our email provider process information for the purposes above and may do so outside your country, including in the United States and India. We choose providers that commit to industry-standard security and to processing only on our instructions. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.

Retention and security

Technical hosting logs are kept by Vercel for a limited operational period under its own retention schedule. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or we close the newsletter. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to deal with the request and any related legal obligation. The site is served over HTTPS. No system can guarantee absolute security, and we will tell affected people and regulators about any breach where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Email [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may ask proportionate questions to confirm it is you, but we will not ask for identity documents unless we first explain a secure and necessary process. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in India, the Data Protection Board of India once operational; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, your national authority).

Changes

When our practices change we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes, such as launching the newsletter or changing analytics provider, will be announced on this page before they take effect.
