Tara is a firefly whose light is small, but it never goes out.

Tara is a little yellow firefly with two pairs of pale wings and two antennae that end in soft violet stars. Her tail glows warm and gentle, like a night lamp. Tara's light is small, but it never goes out, and she is not afraid of the dark. She likes to show her friends that night is full of beautiful things: the moon, the stars, the way the lake twinkles. When Chiku counts too fast, Tara hums softly and he slows down. When it is time to sleep, Tara glows slow, and everyone breathes slow with her.
